Davide was a dear friend. He was the selfless energy and light who believed with me that yoga could inspire a platform of peace between both sides in the IsraeliPalestinian conflict. Together we, planned a campaign and organised Yogabeats sessions throughout “The West Bank” and to groups of ArabIsraelis within Israel itself.
On the 21st of Feb this year, a couple of days after I arrived in Israel, (and before we had even had a chance to meet up again), I received the tragic news that Davide had died in a collision with a car whilst riding his motorcycle in Tel Aviv. He died instantly. All my prayers, good wishes and love go out to his family and friends. It is really so hard to realize a brother like this, has suddenly gone from my life, but just like my time caught in the Yugoslavian War and in other areas of extreme conflict like “The West Bank”, it just really wakes one up to the singular reality that none of us ever know how long we have in this life. This fact alone is the great “leveller” amongst us all and only helps me realize again how very precious the gift of each second of life actually is, and furthermore, while we are still here to totally celebrate every sweet second of our own existence, right up to the Max!!!
Thank you my dear brother for the extraordinary privilege of knowing you and working alongside you and also just hanging out together as friends like you do. I will miss you.
with much love from your English friend David.
When David told me the news of Davide Farby’s accident I was shocked. Davide was a truly wonderful human being who used to speak to me regularly on the phone from Israel during our years of arranging David’s work in Israel and the West Bank for Yoga Beats Conflict. He worked tirelessly in his efforts to bring the two sides together.
I would like to join David in sending my heartfelt prayers to his family.
He will be a truly missed member of the Yogabeats Team
With love from Carole
