From Andover
Hi David I would like to say a big thank you for your fantastic workshop at The life studio Andover last week. It has revolutionised the way I teach. Why? Because you made me realise that it is actually ok to teach as I do without rigidity, to play with the postures and most of all to have FUN! Thank you – Anthea

David is a great Yogateacher – he instructs with a gentle voice but serious mission: to let us feel the universal love in ourselves! He finds the right words for the right moments, loving and understanding with a big portion of humour! His classes are challenging and therefore great lessons to learn for our life out of the yogamat! I really recommend his micromovements to get deeper into the asanas. David is a yogateacher with heart and soul and deep inner wisdom, he is highly inspiring – so dont miss him! -Marion Knotzer, Wien

Yogabeats is like a holiday in my own body! -Sonja Roffeis, Vienna

No pain in my muscles, only lots of love in my heart

“For me personally, while doing Yogabeats I feel a resolution of tension, rigidity and stagnation, a resolution of being caught in myself. and this resolution passes into a sense of inner freedom that again feels like a movement, a flow. An arrival at myself. to be in contact with this incessant pulsating power again. I think this is because one has snapped back into his personal rhythmic movement.” -Karin Zenz, Vienna

From Carmarthen, Wales, September 2010

The day of yoga with David at our local hall was just so full of surprises and so delightful. His athleticism in his art is awesome, inspiring – and sometimes very, very funny. In fact it was such a fun day to spend with him. His philosophy and words about everyday life pinched me awake and I knew the truth of what he said.

I noticed others in the room quietly ruminating and recognised their expressions as they mentally played out scenes of their lives, just as I was doing. I smiled to know that we “got it”. It was far more than a day of yoga, more like a day of acknowledging the truth in our own very special lives and blessing what we have right now brought about by fun, exercise and stepping outside our comfort zones. The calm and joy I felt at the end of the day has remained with me throughout the week and I see things in a new light.

Thank you Debbie for bringing David to Wales and thank you David for your insights and inspiration.

Personally, I also would like to thank you. I have been very sad the last month after a split between me and my girlfriend. It was wonderful to notice that my body beside sadness also can provide happiness. I felt it during the weekend, but also during my own practice this morning. Sadness is of course still there, but also something else, an inner happiness that sometimes is too easy to forget. Peter

David, a huge thank you from me. It was really uplifting and above all fun. I can’t imagine doing yoga with anyone else now quite frankly! Got the soundtrack on. Brilliant. – Be in touch soon. Sandie.x

Wow! I loved last evening, which I am sure you could tell by my face! I crawled home physically wrecked but emotionally on such a high.

I love your approach, I have not done Yoga before, but this seemed very free spirited which suits my character far more than the more rigid Yoga I have heard about which is probably why I have never tried it. I loved the music it added so much to the whole atmosphere, to the senses.

My body movement is very limited I know, I am starting Yoga at a very late stage but if it is ok with you I will listen to my body and do what I can. I must say afterwards my body was telling me it had done things I have never done before or at least not done since I was 10 years old!!!!!! I am feeling great! I cannot believe how lucky I am that you have a class so close to my home.

With a big smile on my face, and a hug and a kiss, is that too familiar after one meeting? Too bad it comes from my heart!
Lesley

Hey – I was at your workshop on Sunday and thought it was fantastic – a really refreshing approach to yoga. I’ve already tried a couple of the ideas in my own practice this morning and it felt great.
Thank you so much and keep on sharing the love, Helen x

Just wanted to say a huge thanks for a brilliant w/shop yesterday and lovely to see you again.
I am still buzzing from the energy of the practice and the fun aspect of it, sometimes yoga can become so serious that is forgotten about and I too firmly belive it should be fun and enjoyable without being disrespectful and vital as we get older to remind us of the beauty of how a child’s eyes sees things, that curiosity for life and wonderment for life in general.
But I did want to thank you for all your wonderful energy and fresh outlook on yoga that you imparted, and the gems that you passed onto us.Sue

My name is Edina and I attended your workshop on Sunday. Just wanted to thank you so much for making me feel so good! You are so inspiring and positive.

Although I have only recently begun my Yogabeats path with you, I an unable to find words to express how much your loving kindness, wisdom and encouragement means to me. I think many of the beautiful phrases you very kindly shared with us in class will travel very deeply within me and be very transformative. I am humbly amazed at my great fortune in finding my Yoga practice with you and would be very honoured to become one of your students – Thupten

Heartfelt thanks for the beautiful Yogabeats class this evening. It was an immense honour to meet you and join your class for the first time. I felt very safe and nutured in the class and feel very blessed to now be able to feel compassionate thoughts towards myself for the first time in many years. I am already immensely looking forward to next week’s class.
Hope you have a blissful week. Much love – Thupten xxx

Testimonials from Innsbruck – 2009

On last Friday and Sunday I had a pleasure to participate in your workshop in Innsbruck. I just want to tell you that what you are doing is absolutely amazing and I am deeply impressed and moved by that. And I mean the whole “message” of the workshop – not just the physical aspects. Thank you very much for great memorable events! – Mirek

Already talked to Stephen, it’s really good news that you are willing to come to Innsbruck again and make “macro effects with micro movements” ;-)
With Mirek (my husband, he also wrote you an email) we read more on your web pages and all what you do, your mission to “make the world a better
place” – this is really great and amazing. Looking forward to see you again. In a meantime take care! :-D Joanna”

Actually I wanted to say you all my thanks and hug you personally after the last workshop but… after the witchcraft part on Sunday I was too… sad and this makes me always literally speechless, so we both despaired pretty fast without saying “goodbye”. It seems that I went deeper into my negative emotions than I was ready for. Nevertheless it was interesting experience and showed me something more about myself. I am grateful for that, too. Hugs, hugs, hugs – Joanna Chimiak-Opoka

Testimonials from Zurich – 2009

Many thanks for the great time I experienced during your workshop last Saturday
You are a tremendous teacher, plenty of creativity and energy. I hope to meet you soon again. Namaste, Dolores

Thank you for the wonderful workshop this weekend here in Zurich! I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to you in person, but I would like to thank you.

I enjoyed your workshop not only because of your unorthodox approach to the asanas and pranayama, but also because of your very uplifting and nourishing presence. The things you said – as obvious as they may seem – somehow touched a sore spot in me, and gave me courage and maybe even a little more faith. Thank you! All the best to you! Hugs Yvonne
